Speaking to Fabulous Digital, body language expert Judi James revealed that the royal rift is still causing issues, with the Duchess of Cambridge showing tension and a lack of “relaxation” as she arrived for the Queen’s official birthday celebrations.

Judi told Fabulous Digital: “Meghan’s return to front line duty involved what looked at times like a rather tense, but also smiling carriage ride down The Mall with Harry, Camilla and Kate.

According to Judi, the group’s appearance was less than natural and displayed signs that the royal rift between the fab four is still firing on all cylinders.

“Kate’s posture was slightly self-diminished, curled in slightly and with her arms pulled into her sides and her hands clasped in her lap.

“Kate’s non-verbal confidence signals have been increasing recently but the lack of relaxed splaying here suggested inner tension,” Judi said.

The Trooping the Colour celebrations marked Meghan’s first time back in the spotlight after the birth of her son, Archie Harrison on May 6.

Duchess Meghan seemed happy and relaxed as the carriage made its way down The Mall.

“It was clearly Meghan looking the happiest and most relaxed here, using a cheek-rounding, congruent-looking smile and eye contact as she chatted to Kate,” Judi told the publication.

New dad Harry looked glum, prompting reports that the Prince is suffering from a lack of sleep as he adjusts to his new fatherly role.

Prince William didn’t travel in the carriage at all, instead choosing to arrive on horseback.

“With William presumably astride a horse there didn’t appear to be a need for too much effort from Kate, Meghan and Harry to look happy together in one another’s company,” added Judi.
