The daughter of Princess Anne was missed during the royal family’s family get together on the Buckingham Palace balcony, and amid UK press speculation of a ‘snub’, the truth has now emerged.
It has emerged that the Queen’s granddaughter and her family were not there because of commitments to attend a horse show. The keen horsewoman was competing in the Bramham International Horse Trials, with husband Mike and daughters, Mia and Lena, there to support her.
The absence was not unprecedented, with Zara missing some Troopings in the past, although she usually makes sure she is there for most special events.
But for royal fans who were disappointed the Tindalls were not there, there was a very special appearance: royal baby Prince Louis’ first showing on the balcony, and the return to official events of new mum Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex.
Also there were most of the other members of the royal family, including Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Charles, Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William, Prince Harry, Prince Philip, Prince Andrew, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
