Shock revelation: What the Queen REALLY thought of Diana

The Queen ordered Prince Charles to divorce Princess Diana, a royal biographer has sensationally claimed.

Penny Junor claims in the 2017 biography, The Duchess: The Untold Story, that the heir to the British throne and his wife had no plans to divorce, until his mother, Elizabeth II stepped in.

The Queen made her demand after Diana’s now-famous Panorama interview in 1995, in which she outed Charles for his affair with Camilla Parker Bowles.

According to Junor, It was Diana’s statement, “There were three of us in the marriage, so it was a bit crowded,” that made the Queen finally “lose her patience.”

“After consulting with the Prime Minister and the Archbishop of Canterbury, she wrote formally and privately to her son and daughter-in-law asking them to put the country out of its uncertainty and to divorce as early as possible,” Junor wrote.

Fifteen years after the Prince and Princess of Wales married, the divorce papers were officially signed.

At the time, Diana walked away with a $31 million lump sum, plus an annual allowance of $730,000.
