Finding out there a certified handsome man underneath the scruffy beard and overgrown hair… It’s delightful!

This season we’ve been promised romance. But BATG isn’t just about love between the beauties and the geeks, it’s about the contestants learning to love themselves.
While looks aren’t everything, a makeover can do wonders to self-esteem and help our struggling geeks on their journey to self acceptance.
We already know there’s a few butterflies waiting to come out of their cocoon and cannot wait to see them all emerge.

Mike
Two words: stun-ning.
Batman fan Mike went into the makeover hoping to find his inner Bruce Wayne and he most certainly succeeded. Mike is giving Christian Bale Bruce Wayne vibes too, not gloomy Rob Pattison Bruce Wayne.
Speaking to Who, Mike revealed he was really nervous about the reveal but everyone loved it, especially his partner Hedi.
“I remember just right before coming out of that elevator… I was almost in tears. It was just a combination of happy, nervous and just so many emotions running through my head,” he said.
“[Hedi] seemed to love it. I’ve never seen anyone call me hot before, so that was very cool.”
Mike already had a gorgeous smile so it’s delightful to see it on full view now instead of hidden behind a bushy beard.
We hope his new found confidence brings him all the joy.
Chris
Beauty and the Geek’s second makeover was jaw dropping.
Yu-Gi-Oh champ Chris went from shaggy pokemon fan boy to chic professional. Gone is the overly straightened anime hair in favour of soft locks. And that smile, you couldn’t wipe it off his face if you tried!
“It’s bizarre to receive so much praise and support in such a short time but it feels really good to finally step out and see such a positive reaction from these amazing, beautiful people that I’m sharing this experience with,” he said of his makeover on Instagram.
“Trying to stay humble but damn I’m loving this, can’t wait to get out there and show it off! Couldn’t have done any of this without the most amazing beauty ever @bri.auty, you’ve been an incredible partner throughout the challenges but more importantly you’ve always believed in me and given me the confidence to embrace this change and tackle the future head on.”
Jason
What a shocker to find the handsome man hiding under that thick beard and shaggy hair. Jason stepped out of that elevator looking like a model and with the charisma to boot, pouting at the camera like a natural.
Losing the pyjama shorts in favour of some cropped pants and swapping the baggy t-shirts for a structured shirt Jason was transformed last night.
“Thank you to everyone who made this happen, and to everybody that gave me little compliments as I walked around the makeover area avoiding any reflective surfaces. Top priority for the moment is to not let this go to my head,” he said on Instagram afterwards.
Aaron
Despite feeling insecure about his false teeth you couldn’t wipe the smile off Aaron’s face when he emerged from that elevator.
Donning soft blues and a new pair of specs Aaron was ecstatic about his transformation calling himself “hot” when he looked in the mirror.
“In the past, I had wanted to change but didn’t know what to do and found it too overwhelming,” he wrote on Instagram.
“I’ve never got this much of a positive response before and it meant the world especially to get it from these beautiful people that have been on this ride with us. A moment which I’ll remember for a long time.”
Anthony
Anthony has such a unique style so it was a little bit of a shame to see him lose his signature coats but you couldn’t say he didn’t look damn fine after his makeover.
On Instagram, Anthony shared his thoughts on how the transformation affected him inside and out.
“For many people, the makeover is an external change but for me it was very much of an internal change,” he wrote, “The makeover was more about changing the way I look at myself and my perception on how others see me.
“Even though I’m not necessarily hot and attractive by society’s standards, I believe it’s more about what’s on the inside that counts because as we know beauty does fade over time but if you have a beautiful heart and soul, then that’s what really matters here.
“When I look in the mirror now, I see someone who is worth people’s time and at the end of the day that’s really what matters.”
Michael
We had our suspicions that Michael was hiding a classically handsome man under all that hair and last night we were proved right.
His partner, now girlfriend, Tara was clearly impressed and couldn’t wait to run over to plant a kiss on the charming geek.
After seeing himself in the mirror he understood why she was so excited.
Nate
When the eliminated contestants returned we were shocked to see Nate’s transformation. No more long locks, he now has a tidy haircut and clean shaven face.
“I’m enjoying having the breeze on the back of my neck now,” he joked to Sophie Monk.
Sam
While Sam’s makeover was more subtle that some of the others he still looks great.
Gone is the moustache and he looks like he’s had a holiday in the sun, maybe somewhere in Europe?
Alex
If you’ve seen Alex’s instagram lately his reveal last night probably wasn’t a huge surprise. Nevertheless our favourite bookworm looks so handsome without the scraggly beard.
He’s also swapped his glasses for contacts.
Jayden
We wouldn’t blame you if you screamed, “who is that man?” when Jayden came on screen last night.
The karate expert looks unrecognisable without his beard, though we are sad to see him lose his curly locks.
