What you need to start doing right now to avoid bad breath

  1. Good oral hygiene: Brush AND floss TWICE a day. 
  1. Don’t forget to brush and scrape your tongue gently. 
  1. Be sure to see a dentist. Infected teeth and gums are will cause extra strength bad breath.
  1. Dentists can identify other conditions such as salivary gland problems, tonsillitis or sinus problems that are contributing too. 
  1. Avoid dehydration: drink 8 glasses of water a day and have an extra glass for every coffee you drink.

  1. A healthy, balanced diet will avoid bad breath caused by ketoacidosis that can cause bad breath during fasting diets such as 5/2 or intermittent fasting type diets. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and lean protein sources as well as complex carbohydrates.
