It’s a season of change for many former Married at First Sight cast members and 2018 groom Cameron Merchant is no exception!
The soon-to-be father-of-two has joined the likes of Sara Mesa and Stephen Stewart in sharing his physical transformation with his friends, family, and fans on social media.
Sharing a before and after snap, the cricket fanatic revealed that he had ditched his “dad bod” and had been working hard at the gym to improve not only his general fitness but overall wellbeing.
“To be honest, I thought this Dad-Bod was here for life…and I was totally fine with that but it wasn’t about that, it was for more energy, vibrancy, and being stronger and more present for my family and life,” he penned.
“Been a wild ride for the last 12 months but I made a decision & gave myself permission to reset, restart, and allow myself to refocus on all the magic that is possible in this world.”
According to Cam, his commitment to “change, discipline” and creating a “very uncomfortable morning routine” helped him drop down to his goal weight of 69kg.
“I have loved the process of what it has brought me and dare say through it I’m addicted and now committed to another level.”
“All I now know is that when you commit & find your reason, anything is possible for you in every aspect of life! So get it, whatever it is you want, I’m here to cheer you on every morning, every step, all the way!”
Loved ones were quick to hop in the comments section to show their public support for the reality television star, including his wife Jules who wrote: “You always look perfect to me! X.”
Fellow MAFS grooms Brent Leon and Duncan James also shared in their admiration, with Brent commenting “You beautiful specimen you,” and Duncan penning “What a transformation, well done mate.”
MAFS relationship expert Mel Schilling also jokingly responded to the post writing: “Do we need to talk about your eyes in the first photo mate??? 👀.”
