Married at First Sight contestant Stephen Stewart has taken social media by storm after revealing a bold new look.
His once-signature brunette locks are officially gone in place of a shorter style.
The hairdresser by trade revealed that he cut them off after deciding it was “time for a chop”.
To show off his new look, Stephen shared a mirror selfie simply captioned: “Snip.”
Speaking with Yahoo Lifestyle! about his decision to let go of such a large part of his identity, the MAFS star confessed that a change was needed.
“Long hair is annoying,” he remarked to the publication.
While it does come as a bit of a shock, Stephen did previously hint at cutting off his hair when asking his Instagram followers whether it was “time for a chop”.
The two options listed were “DOOOO ITTTT!” and “You’re nothing without your locks”.
As the first poll option received the majority of votes, it’s clear Stephen took this as encouragement from his followers to make the change.
During his time on MAFS, Stephen was matched with Michael Felix as the show’s first male-male relationship.
Sadly, their love story wasn’t meant to be and they called it quits after just weeks as ‘husband and husband’.
