Miley Cyrus is in hospital after suffering from an extreme case of tonsillitis – but luckily for her, she has boyfriend Cody Simpson to comfort her.

The “Slide Away” singer took to Instagram to share her experience by posting a number of selfies from the hospital room on her story.
Miley claimed she was aiming for a speedy recovery as she has plans to attend a charity event hosted by Ellen DeGeneres to raise money for global conservation.
“Trying to heal as quick as I can to make it to Gorillapalooza w @TheEllenShow @PortiaDeRossi @BrunoMars this weekend! Send gooooood vibes my way!” Cyrus captioned a photo of herself in bed with an IV drip attached to her arm,” the 26-year-old wrote.
“Hoping the Rock star G*DS send me a boost of bad ass and help me kick this s— to the curb where it belongs! We got gorillas to save!” Miley continued.
Cody Simpson paid Miley a visit during her ordeal and appeared to be at her bedside in the hospital.
“BF coming to visit me @ the hospy,” she wrote in the caption on another hospital bed selfie.
Cody was by her side on Tuesday as well.
She shared an Instagram story of the Aussie singer playing the guitar beside her accompanied by the caption: “The DR. is back… luckiest.”
In the background of her photo of Cody was an artwork featuring a Star Wars stormtrooper, a banana and the text, “Mom I’m gay”.
Miley, whose recent relationship with Kaitlynn Carter made headlines after the pair hooked up so soon after her split with husband Liam Hemsworth, seemed to make a joke about now “not being gay” with a further caption in the post.
The singer added the cheeky caption: “Btw mom… there’s been a change of plans.”

In 2015, Miley came out as pansexual, which refers to when a person is attracted to others regardless of their of their sex or gender identity.
Miley and Cody have been friends for years, and went public with their romantic relationship just last week.
