Lisa Wilkinson is ‘set to leave The Project’ after reports she’s feeling on the outer with the established cast members.

That’s a claim being promoted today by Sportsbet, with the agency outrageously announcing it ‘believes Lisa Wilkinson is odds on to leave amid rumours of a feud with other cast members’.
The bookmaker has priced Lisa as $1.85 to leave the show this year, while Waleed Aly is $3.00 to depart, and Carrie Bickmore and Peter Helliar are at $4.00 to leave.
‘We find it hard to believe anyone could be feuding with Waleed or Carrie, but rumours gather momentum. Apparently all is not well with Lisa and her co-hosts and we’re tipping she’ll go sooner rather than later,’ said Sportsbet’s Rich Hummerston.
The wild speculation has its roots in a report that she stormed out of The Project’s 10th anniversary celebrations.
The anniversary should have been a career highlight for Lisa Wilkinson, but a throwaway comment from Peter Helliar reportedly put a damper on the festivities.
The Australian reported that the comedian singled out Lisa as an outsider amongst his fellow co-hosts, Carrie Bickmore and Waleed Aly, when he said, “We love having you on our show.”
The report went on to say that the brunette had ‘shuffled offset’ after just 30 minutes of the hour and a half broadcast.
‘Diary hears she was not sighted again, either during the 90-minute-plus extravaganza or the after-party,’ said the publication.
Peter, Carrie and Waleed reportedly stayed for the after-party, where they gave warm toasts to each other.
‘You are the show!’ Peter gushed about Carrie, who has been a panellist on The Project since it’s 2009 launch.
‘You are the soul of this show and it is an honour to work alongside you,’ he stated.
Lisa has yet to comment on the claims, but is currently enjoying a holiday in Italy.
