Kyle and Jackie O officially signed a new deal with Australian Radio Network that will keep them on air for another 11 years back in November 2023.

The duo signed their new contracts on November 22 while on-air, telling the listeners of The Kyle & Jackie O Show that the 10-year deal will reportedly earn them $200 million.

“Fans of the show will be stoked to hear that this 10-year deal is the longest radio deal in Australian history. Love us or loathe us, Jackie and I will be continuing with our politically incorrect nonsense for a long, long time,” Kyle told ARN.

The Kyle & Jackie O Show is hosted on KIIS FM, however, the announcement meant the show would be expanding from its current Sydney Market…

The show is to be launched in Melbourne as well; however, this means that KIIS 101.1’s Jase & Lauren would not be returning in 2024.

“Last night, we all received a phone call from management,” Jason Hawkins revealed on air.

“Mine was during ‘black hawk down’ hour when all the kids are cracking it trying to get to sleep.

“The show will be finishing up at the end of 2023. Kyle & Jackie O will be taking over in 2024.”

The radio star Lauren Phillips broke down on air after finding out about their show being axed.

“They’ll be syndicating their show from Sydney to (be) broadcast here in Melbourne,” she said.

“This is certainly not the way we wanted to bow out.

“We didn’t have a choice. We don’t want to say goodbye.

“We didn’t have to be here this morning to make this announcement, but we’re here.”

The Kyle and Jackie O Show was first broadcasted on KIIS 1065 in 2014 and over time has become Australia’s most successful radio show ever.

“Kyle and Jackie O have been an unstoppable force over the past decade, and the success of our partnership has surpassed expectations for listeners and commercial clients alike,” Ciaran Davis, ARN Media CEO and Managing Director said.

“Their ability to connect with their audience is second to none and we’re incredibly proud to have them continue as part of the ARN family.”

Back in July 2023, there was talk about Kyle and Jackie O leaving their station… at that time all we knew was that their radio deal was due to end in 2024.

Their previous contract with ARN’s KIIS FM in 2019 was one of the biggest deals in history, earning $8 million a year, each.

In July, their exclusive deal was entering its final 18 months, however, the pair had allegedly engaged in a bargaining process with rival station Southern Cross Austereo (SCA), The Australian Financial Review reported.

Having spoken to multiple industry insiders, the publication shared that a network insider told them SCA had been “pretty aggressive” in pursuing the pair.

“It’s very likely it’ll end up being the biggest talent media deal ever. It’s about more money and making it a bigger show, meaning reaching more markets,” another insider asserted.
