Home and Away star Lynne McGranger has opened up about the tragic death of her co-star Belinda Emmett in 2006.
The actress was speaking on The All New Monty: Ladies Night on Sunday to raise breast cancer awareness.

During her emotional speech, Lynne broke down as she revealed that when Belinda first found a lump in her breast, she thought it was just a cyst.
“I would be absolutely honoured [to do the show] and I have to tell you why,” the 66-year-old actress said in the clip.
She opened up about the tragic loss of her friend.
“I worked with Belinda Emmett. She was 23 at the time, and I clearly remember we were talking about about breast cancer.
“I remember her sitting in the makeup chair [saying] ‘I’ve got a little lump’.”
“And we all went… [gasps]. And she said, ‘Oh, no, look. It’ll be just a cyst.’
“And I think we hounded her enough, over the weeks and months that followed. And she did get it seen to, but of course, as we know, it was too late.
“It was so sad. We all know somebody,” she said.
Lynne, who plays Irene Roberts, starred alongside Belinda, who played Rebecca Nash, for three years before Belinda left in 1999 to focus on her health.
Belinda was originally diagnosed with breast cancer in 1998, aged 24.
She underwent underwent surgery to remove a malignant tumour, followed by six weeks of radiotherapy.
She left Home and Away the following year and went on to appear in nine episodes of All Saints as Jodi Horner between 2000 and 2001.
In 2001, she was diagnosed with secondary cancer in her spine and tragically died five years later in 2006.
Belinda married her sweetheart Rove McManus 18 months before her death.
