One of the most memorable moments from Prince William and Kate’s nuptials had to be the balcony kiss.
The tender moment was shared at Buckingham Palace after the couple’s wedding in April.
No doubt those eagerly awaiting Harry and Meghan’s impending nuptials to be held in May this year, will be hanging out for the same photo-perfect moment.
But the romantic tradition started up by Prince Charles and Diana will sadly not form part of their wedding.
“Windsor Castle doesn’t allow for it,” Royal correspondent, Victoria Arbiter told 9Honey.
Thankfully the reason isn’t as suspect as it seems, as simply Windsor Castle has no balcony.
Victoria does, however, believe there will be a kiss at some point during the ceremony.
“This couple are so touchy feeling, so incredibly tactile. I’m hoping we might get a couple of kisses on the carriage ride,” she added.
“It’s about a two-mile ride through Windsor, post wedding, so I think we might see a kiss then.”
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams believes the kiss will happen earlier, however.
The ‘historic and significant’ moment will take place on the steps of the church before the carriage procession begins.
“It is the moment which the media need on an occasion as significant and historic as this and I am sure there will be a kiss after the service on the steps of St George’s Chapel before the carriage procession begins,” Richard told the Express.
“Harry and Meghan will arrange this their way but they know how eagerly this will be anticipated and I think there is certain to be a kiss for the cameras to reach the vast global audience who will be watching and waiting,” he added.
The embrace will be the very first time since the American actress and young Harry kissed at the Invictus Games, when the couple were caught secretly smooching at the closing ceremony.
The sweet lovebirds confirmed their engagement on November 27, 2017 after dating for a year.
Harry, 33, was introduced to Meghan, 36 by a mutual friend in London.
According to a statement released by Kensington Palace, the American born star will become a British citizen and will be baptised and confirmed into the church before the wedding.
Prior to the announcement, Meghan’s divorce from director Trevor Engelson and Catholic religion were widely debated.
