During a recent interview, tennis champion Serena Williams opened up about her pregnant pal Meghan Markle.
Talking to E News! the mother-of-one, who has been friends with the former Suits star since 2010, revealed just what kind of mother the Duchess of Sussex will be.
“She will be the best mum, for sure,” Serena, 37, said matter-of-factly.
Earlier in the chat, Serena spoke about her own experience as a mother and gave our some advice, perhaps Meghan will take on board once baby Sussex arrives.
“Accept mistakes and don’t expect to be perfect,” the sports star explained.
“This is a time where everything is not going to go as planned…You just have to go with the flow.”
After first meeting Serena nine years ago, Meghan took to her blog The Tig to share her excitement with her fans.
“Taking pictures, laughing through the flag football game we were both playing and chatting not about tennis or acting but about good old fashioned girly stuff,” she wrote about the duo’s encounter.
And it was only a matter of time before the pair became the best of friends.
“We have always been there for each other through a lot,” Serena said back in 2017.
Of her marriage to Prince Harry, Serena couldn’t be happier for Meg.
“I just wanted to see my friend happy,” she previously told The Project.
“I feel like in a few years we are going to look back at that moment and it’s going to be so historic. It’s going to be something people never forget.”
