Last night, Princess Beatrice announced she is engaged to billionaire property tycoon, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
The couple released a series of pictures with their arms wrapped around each other, looking more in love than ever, to announce to the world they will be married in 2020.
In a special twist, it turns out the photos were taken by Beatrice’s sister, Princess Eugenie, who wrote on Instagram: “Beabea – wow! I’m so happy for you my dearest big sissy and dear Edo. It’s been a long time coming and you two are meant to be. 📷 by me!!”

Now, Beatrice’s mother Sarah Ferguson shared her own special set of photos, including a series of black and white portraits which show the couple getting silly for the camera.
“@princesseugenie took the colour photographs as my girls are so close. Beatrice and Edo wanted her to capture this special moment. The black and white photographs were taken by Misan Harriman,” Fergie finished.
Buckingham Palace released a statement announcing the couple’s impending 2020 wedding, which read: “The Duke and Duchess of York are delighted to announce the engagement of Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice of York to Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. Her Royal Highness and Mr. Mapelli Mozzi became engaged while away for the weekend in Italy earlier this month. The wedding will take place in 2020. Further details will be announced in due course.”

Beatrice met Edoardo at her sister’s wedding to Jack Brooksbank in October last year.
A friend told The Sun at the time: “Beatrice and Edo have the same circle of friends and were introduced through a mutual chum.
“They hit it off instantly and have a real laugh together.”
