Shocking footage of a Queen’s Guard violently shoving a female tourist outside Windsor Castle after she interfered with his path has gone viral.
The women, who had crossed a rope barrier, was visibly shocked as she was forcefully pushed from behind by the guard, who was wearing his full uniform.
Thankfully, the woman was not injured and managed to find her balance.
The Queen’s Guard protect official royal residences. They are known for their distinctive red uniforms and bearskin hats. The soldiers have been protecting royal residences for three centuries.
Taking a picture with the men in uniform has become a major tourist activity in the UK. However, if someone impedes their progress, the soldier will shout ‘Make way for the Queen’s Guard.’
The Ministry of Defence said: ‘The Household Division is proud to guard Her Majesty and honoured that people come from around the world to watch our ceremonial spectacle.
‘The ropes are there to protect both the public and our soldiers; please stay behind them.’
