Her Majesty always looks a million bucks when she steps out for official events, with the royal always sporting a new and just as extraordinary (and usually colourful) outfit each time. But, have you ever noticed that the Queen always sports the same handbag?
For almost 60 years, the Queen has been carrying a near-identical version of the same bag.

Made by British brand Launer, the 77-year-old monarch has made the seemingly simple bag her trademark.
CEO Gerald Bodmer reveals there is a reason behind the Queen’s decision.
‘She doesn’t feel fully dressed without her handbag,’ Bodmer says. ‘But if the Queen doesn’t like what we’ve made her, she won’t wear it. She definitely knows what she wants.’
Bodmer further claims that Her Majesty’s faithfulness to the style of handbag has to do with heritage.
Founded in 1941 by Sam Launer, a Jewish refugee from Prague, the brand started life in a workshop in the heart of Soho. Launer soon acquired a reputation for exquisite craftsmanship and Harrods began stocking his bags. The Queen Mother bought her first Launer bag in the 50s and gave one to her daughter, who found them to be the perfect size to loop over her arm during walkabouts. Since then, the Queen has stayed loyal to the compact, sleek and elegant bag.
