Princess Eugeine choose a wedding dress that proudly showed off her scars from her childhood back surgery.
The 28-year-old royal – who today wed to Jack Brooksbank in a ceremony at Windsor Castle – was diagnosed with scoliosis and underwent corrective surgery aged just 12. During the eight-hour long surgery, the princess had two 12-inch metal rods inserted in her back.
Eugenie opted for a low back gown designed by Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos.
Celebrity guests at Eugenie’s wedding include David and Victoria Backham, Sir Elton John, Ed Sheeran, Robbie Williams, Ellie Goulding, James Blunt and more.
British fashion and portrait photographer Alex Bramall was named as the official photographer by Buckingham Palace on Friday morning.
“It is an honour and a privilege to be invited to photograph Princess Eugenie and Jack on this most special of days,” Mr Bramall said.
“I look forward with great excitement to capturing this significant occasion and wish them both a happy future together.”
