Kensington Palace has just confirmed William’s New Zealand visit date

It will commence ANZAC day

Prince William will visit New Zealand this month to honour the victims of the Christchurch mosque terrorist attacks on behalf of the Queen. 

Kensington Palace has confirmed dates of the Duke of Cambridge’s two-day visit, which will commence ANZAC day.

Prince William will arrive in Auckland on April 25, which is at the request of New Zealand’s prime minister Jacinda Ardern, to begin his two-day visit.

The future King of England will then travel to Christchurch where 50 people were killed in a horrific terrorist attack on March 15. 

According to the Mirrorthe duke will meet survivors of the attack and their families, members of the emergency services, and Muslim community leaders.

In a statement issued this evening, Kensington Palace said: “During the visit, the duke will pay tribute to those affected by the Christchurch mosques terrorist attack, and will recognise the incredible empathy and unity displayed by the people of New Zealand in the weeks that followed.”
