Harry and Meghan in ‘Anthrax’ nightmare

The couple had a threatening letter sent to their palace home.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been the victims of a hoax anthrax scare after a threatening letter containing white powder was sent to their home at Kensington Palace.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson told PEOPLE,Police are investigating after a package containing a substance was delivered to St. James’s Palace on Monday, February 12.’

Police further confirmed no arrests had been made.

The package, which was addressed to both Harry and Meghan, was intercepted and sent to St. James’s Palace for sorting and the ‘substance was tested and confined as non-suspicious,’ the spokesperson confirmed.

They added, ‘Officers are also investigating an allegation of malicious communications which relates to the same package.’

The Evening Standard, who first reported the story, allege that a racist message was included in the envelope. 

Scotland Yard are reportedly preparing intensely for the couple’s May 19 wedding, where the newlyweds are scheduled to take part in a carriage procession around the streets of Windsor.
