It’s no secret that both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle long to be parents.

‘I would love to have kids right now,’ the 33-year-old prince gushed in 2014 after his brother, William, welcomed his second child, Charlotte.

A year later, Meghan confessed that she longed to be a mother, saying, ‘I can’t wait to start a family.’

The subject of parenthood resurfaced when the soon-to-be newlyweds announced their engagement in November.

In their BBC interview at the time, Harry declared: ‘Hopefully we’ll start a family in the future.’

Well, it seems those plans are coming sooner than expected.

Sources have exclusively told In Touch that Harry and Meghan are actively trying to conceive.

‘They’ve been trying for a baby for a few months,’ a source said.

According to In Touch, Queen Elizabeth has insisted the couple carry on the royal bloodline.

A friend of Meghan’s told the publication, ‘When a member of the House Of Windsor gets married, they’re strongly urged to become parents as soon as possible.’

‘Meghan has felt tremendous responsibility to get pregnant,’ says the insider. ‘She has been panicked because she doesn’t want to disappoint Harry, the queen and the whole royal family.’

Another close friend of the couple’s said, ‘She and Harry are more excited about having babies than their actual wedding.’

‘They’ve even discussed names!’ the friend claims.

‘Nothing would make Harry and Meghan happier than having a child together!’
