The reason why Prince George and Princess Charlotte have missed a special Christmas tradition with the Queen has been revealed.

The royal children on Prince William and Kate Middleton have not previously participated in the Royal Family walk to church on Christmas Day because they are too young.

Royal fans have been speculating as to whether George and Charlotte will participate this year.

It has been reported that Will and Kate will spend a low key Christmas with their children George, Charlotte and little Prince Louis.

Meanwhile a new report has revealed that little Charlotte has revealed what is on top of her Christmas list.

A royal source told The Sun Charlotte wants a pony, but Will apparently is adamant she is too young.

“Charlotte takes after Queen Elizabeth and is obsessed with horses,” the source said.

“She’s asked for a pony but might have to wait until next year because William thinks she’s too young.”
