Prince Andrew has made an embarrassing blunder in his birthday post for his daughter, Princess Beatrice.
The Duke of York took to Instagram to wish the 31-year-old a happy birthday, sharing a series of pictures of the two.
However, eagle-eyed observers spotted a very awkward mistake in one of the photos.

According to Express UK, the fourth image on Prince Andrew’s post did not feature Beatrice, but rather, her sister, Princess Eugenie!
The picture was taken on Princess Eugenie’s wedding day, when she married Jack Brooksbank in October 2018.
The mistake was quickly realised and the tweet was immediately deleted, but not before fans spotted it.
One user uploaded an image of the tweet with the caption: “Emmm this is a wee bit awkward?!?!”
“I never know who is Eugenie and who is Beatrice – thank god I’m not alone and their dad have the same problem,” said another.
The error-ridden birthday post was replaced with four photos of Prince Andrew and Princess Beatrice over the years.
“Happy Birthday Princess Beatrice! Thank you everyone for the lovely birthday wishes!” the Duke of York wrote in the caption.
Other royal family members appeared to be more tech-savvy.
Sarah Ferguson shared a birthday post for Beatrice on Instagram, with the caption “Happy Birthday dearest Beatrice.”
Fergie posted eight photos of her daughter, including one of Beatrice as a newborn, a toddler playing in a sandpit, and as a grown-up with the family’s Norfolk terriers.
Beatrice’s sister, Princess Eugenie, posted a series of photos on Instagram with the caption, “You have been bossing it since before I was born and continue to be the most wonderful person, friend and big sister…Happy Birthday to you Beabea!! Xx”
The Royal family Instagram account shared a birthday post for Beatrice on behalf of the Queen and Prince Philip, adding an image of her with the caption: “Today is Princess Beatrice of York’s 31st Birthday. Princess Beatrice is the first child of @hrhthedukeofyork and Sarah, Duchess of York, and fifth grandchild of The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh.”
While Princess Beatrice isn’t a working royal, she has a number of royal patronages, including Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice, the Teenage Cancer Trust and the Helen Arkell Dyslexia Centre.
The 31-year-old studied History at Goldsmiths College, the University of London and presently works for software company Afiniti, as the Vice President of Partnerships & Strategy.
