After being linked to the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, sources are now saying that Prince Andrew, Duke of York, may be ‘banished to Bermuda’ to save the monarchy from shame.

According to a sensational report in US magazine Globe, the royal has been ordered to lay low as the scandal over his friendship with dead sex creep Epstein continues to boil.

‘The move is designed to get Andrew out of Britain — much as the royals got rid of Elizabeth’s disgraced uncle Edward VIII, who was banished to the Bahamas after abdicating the throne in the 1930s,’ a source outrageously claimed to Globe.

According to the publication the Prince’s nephew Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton are among those who want the royal out of their range of vision – for the time being at least.

‘William believes that the monarchy will not survive’ if Andrew’s scandal erupts further, a palace courtier is quoted as saying by the American publication.

‘The royal family is hoping by shipping Andrew off to Bermuda, they can dodge or at least downplay any new sordid details of his parties with Epstein,’ claims the insider.

The Prince’s history of partying with the disgraced businessman has come under the microscope again after Epstein died of an apparent suicide in a New York prison.

In a recent Palace statement, Andrew claims to have been left shocked by his former close friend’s past behaviour.

‘The Duke of York has been appalled by the recent reports of Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged crimes,’ said Buckingham Palace, on behalf of the prince.

‘His Royal Highness deplores the exploitation of any human being and the suggestion he would condone, participate in or encourage any such behaviour is abhorrent.’

The Palace has yet to respond to Globe magazine’s claims.
