On Sunday night’s episode of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here, Paul Burrell has made more sensational claims about the royal family. This time, Prince Charles was in the former butler’s firing line.
Speaking to fellow campmate Kerry Armstrong, Burrell claimed: ‘She told me, on the night that Harry was born, Charles came to visit.
‘He wasn’t at the birth. Harry is lying into the cot, and he said ‘red hair, I suppose that’s a Spencer gene’.
Burrell continued, ‘She said, ‘Are you pleased, Charles?’ He said ‘I’m delighted. I now have an heir and a spare.’ She said, ‘Well, that’s an odd thing to say why are you dressed up in black tie?’.’
Paul continued: ‘He said, ‘My work is done, isn’t it, now? I’m off to the theatre with Camilla’. She said, ‘On the night that Harry was born, I cried myself to sleep, knowing my marriage was over’.’
Burrell alleged that Prince Charles saw a newborn Harry in his cot, said ‘Now I have an heir and a spare’, and left to meet Camilla at the theatre, leaving a Princess Diana heartbroken.
The former butler also revisited the claim that Diana predicted her death nine months before it happened.
Paul was Diana’s butler for 10 years between 1987 and 1997.
