The royal wedding between Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank is set to happen on October 12 at Windsor Castle, which is the same location where Prince Harry and Meghan got married in May. With the nuptials getting closer and closer, royal fans are beginning to learn more about what to expect when the day comes.
The official commemorative china has been revealed via the Royal Collection Trust, and people have been quick to point out an interesting detail that has been missed in the design.
It appears the the pieces – which include a plate, tankard, teacup and saucer – only bear Eugenie’s initial and not Jack’s.

The initial ‘E’ is surrounded by ivy to represent Eugenie and Jack’s home at Kensington palace, Ivy Cottage, and white roses of York to signify Eugenie’s last name.
There is an explanation as to why Jack’s initial has been left out, with The Express reporting that as he is a man marrying a female member of the Royal Family, his initial isn’t allowed to be displayed underneath a royal coronet.
This also explains why the commemorative china for Meghan and Harry’s wedding featured both H and M intertwined.

However, Jack isn’t entirely excluded from the collection as each piece of china includes the words “Celebrating the marriage of Princess Eugenie of York and Mr Jack Brooksbank” in gold writing.

Profits from the sales of the commemorative china go towards charity.
