Eugenie shared a story about a trip they took to Calcutta, India in 2013 where they met a women who founded the Women’s Interlink Foundation – a foundation that works to get trafficked females off the street and teach them skills such as creating clothing or designing fabric.

“Jules and I, that was the first time we ever really saw what modern slavery was and human trafficking and what really that is in the modern age, ” Eugenie said.

Eugene also shared a story about an inspiring encounter she had with a trafficking victim she met. The young girl had been trafficked by her next door neighbour in Manchester to a gang who did “horrific” things to her.

“And what’s amazing about this story and what has stayed with Jules and I, is that she is the most incredible 21-year-old girl you will ever meet,” Eugenie said.
