Sorry Suits fans, but it looks as though Meghan Markle won’t be returning to the show after all.
The Duchess of Sussex was rumoured to be making a final cameo appearance on the US hit legal drama after reports emerged that she had been offered a multi-million dollar donation to charity for her return.
However, a source from the show has told Harper’s Bazaar that the pregnant royal will not be reprising her role as Rachel Zane.
“The show has not made a multi-million dollar charity donation offer to Meghan to return for a cameo,” the insider stated.
“There are no plans for her to return to the show.”
The news comes following whispers that the soon-to-be-mum had received an offer from NBC Universal, who make the drama, offering to make a sizable donation to a charity of Meghan’s choice if she stepped into sassy Rachel Zane’s stilettos one last time.
According to The Daily Star the role would show Zane as pregnant in a two minute clip that is planned to be shot in the UK.
“We could be done in half a day or less,” said the source.
Meghan starred on Suits from 2010 but left the show in order to concentrate on her charity projects and to marry Prince Harry in May 2018.
Her final episode with the show was aired just a month before her royal wedding.
