Meghan Markle and Prince Harry put on a united front as they performed their final duties as royals at the Commonwealth Day service.
However, there was one tense moment between the couple and Queen Elizabeth that proved there’s still a lot going on behind-the-scenes for the royals.

The Commonwealth Day service on March 9 was the first time the Queen and her grandson had appeared in public together since the news they were stepping down.
The Queen and Harry’s body language on the day is extremely telling, and shows what the Monarch was feeling about the MEGXIT situation.
Speaking to Marie Claire, Patti Wood, body language expert and author of Snap: Making the Most of First Impressions, Body Language, and Charisma uncovered the royals’ true feelings at the ceremony.
She focused on the moment that the Queen walked up to take her front-row seat at the ceremony, with Harry and Meghan in the row behind them.
Patti said: ”The Queen is looking down and not looking at them, and Meghan is smiling.
“I would say that’s fairly genuine because it’s made along with eye contact,” says Wood.
She added: “If you look at her hand, she’s holding on to the paper, but you notice how relaxed her fingers are and how open the fingers are.
She’s not tensely holding the paper. It’s very relaxed. That says that she’s fine. She’s okay. It’s all good.”
However, the expert insists the same can’t be said for Harry, who seems incredibly tense.
“But when you go to him, if you look, his head is downcast, and he’s trying.
“He’s looking at his grandma. If you look at the eyebrows in that photo, it’s concerned,” continues Wood.
“It’s more you wouldn’t know he’s the grandson in that photo—you would think he was some sort of subservient in a greater way.
“It shows a change in his status, his feelings.”
“It’s not negative. It’s just revealing,” she explains.
It comes after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were seemingly snubbed by Prince William and Kate Middleton during their last official engagement as senior members of the royal family.
The awkward interaction between the two royal couples took place as they were arriving during the Queen’s procession at Westminster Abbey for Commonwealth Day.
Video footage from the family reunion, which appeared on social media, shows the Sussexes sitting in their seats in the second row, while Wills and Kate find their seats in the first row.
As Wills and Kate arrived, the Sussexes watched on as they chatted to Harry’s uncle Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, who were seated next to them.
At one point, Meghan appears to say “hello” and partially waves to Wills and Kate, which appears to go unnoticed.
William then appears to acknowledge his brother and sister-in-law, as he looks across the chairs in their direction, however, Kate’s gaze is brief as she turns around and sits down.
Royal fans were quick to take to Twitter to comment on the icy meet and greet, with one person writing: “I’m still chipping the ice off my phone screen! Ouch!”
They added: “Definitely a chill between the Cambridge’s and Sussexes! Megan attempted to say hello 3 times to no avail. Harry does NOT look happy at all.”
Another person stated: “Can’t blame Kate for snubbing the troublemaker! Not only has Meghan taken over thinking for Harry, but she also caused all kinds of pain for the rest of the family!”
A third person added: “It looks as though William looks over… Catherine doesn’t. They may be Royal, but they’re human. Looks like a lot of hurt feelings.”
The awkward interaction at the annual Commonwealth Service, which took place on Monday, marks Harry and Meghan’s last official engagement as senior royals.
Harry and Meghan are due to step down on March 31, and Monday’s outing was the first time they saw William and Kate since they stepped out together for Remembrance Day events in November.
