Meghan Markle’s cruel new nickname after Wimbledon antics

The Duchess requested no photos be taken of her at the Grand Slam

Meghan Markle has been given an unflattering new nickname after she instructed her royal security personnel to inform spectators at Wimbledon not to take photos of her.

Despite being the Duchess of Sussex and a public figure, Meghan insisted that she was at the Grand Slam in a ‘personal capacity’ so to watch her friend Serena William play, and therefore off duty.

Having been previously dubbed ‘Duchess Difficult’ after rumours of her diva demands made their way from the palace and into the public, the new mum is now being mocked for her ‘no photos’ request, earning the nickname ‘Princess Privacy’.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have chosen to take the privacy route when it comes to their son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, an unconventional path considering they are two of the most high-profile figures in the world.

But when journalist Sally Jones revealed the Duchess said that no photos were to be taken of her at Wimbledon as she was there in a ‘private capacity’, people couldn’t help but point out the irony.

British TV host Carole Malone later ridiculed the request on Sky news’ program, The Pledge, dubbing Meghan ‘Princess Privacy’.

“Princess Privacy has been at it again, reportedly asking bodyguards to stop spectators at Wimbledon from taking photos of her.

“As she sat with 12,000 people watching a match broadcast to millions of people.

“Oh my god, the hypocrisy, the arrogance, the control freaky. Sorry but Meghan isn’t entitled to demand special treatment. And people are fed up of her and Harry with their litany of imaginary grievances.”

OUCH!
