It is no secret that Meghan Markle is not the most popular member of the British royal family, but even by Buckingham Palace’s standards the level of criticisms angled at the Duchess of Sussex is often deemed as ‘too much’.

The first-time mum regularly cops hate online, and royal watchers have scrutinised Prince Harry and Meghan’s every move since the former actress announced her pregnancy in October, last year.
Some of her more controversial moments in the last few weeks amount to more than any of Kate Middleton’s misgivings since the new year began.
Whether it be how she held her son, Archie Harrison, at the polo, her decision to have a private christening or her demands that no one takes photos of her at the Wimbledon Grand Slam, the Duchess has continuously attracted negative press.
And according to a new report, it might have finally broken her.
Royal reporter Victoria Arbiter (who is the daughter of The Queen’s former press spokesman Dickie Arbiter) has spoken to Today about how the onslaught of critics has affected the royal.
“As far as her American fans go, there has been a sense there’s not been enough done to protect her—at some point, you have to wonder what is going to be the breaking point.”
Ms Arbiter continued: “Yes, she keeps on trucking at the moment but it can’t be anything but incredibly difficult. We need to let Meghan blossom and let her do the job she’s in the Royal Family to do and perhaps hold back on some of the criticism.”
Ms Arbiter says Meghan will also be undergoing a culture shock, as a one-time star of the silver screen, the former Suits actress would be used to handling bad press differently.
“It’s very difficult when you come from previously celebrity background where a publicist can stand up for you or come out and say, ‘no, that report is categorically untrue. But categorically, members of the family follow the Queen Mother’s mantra ‘never complain, never explain.’ You sort of have to sit back while the world’s media, social media, everyone has become judge and jury.”
Hints that Meghan may have already reached breaking point started to show at the Lion King premiere in London.
When meeting American pop sensation Pharrell, Meghan Markle raised eyebrows with her frank response to the Grammy-winning artist.
“So happy for your union. Love is amazing. It’s wonderful,” the ‘Happy’ singer said to Meghan and Harry.
“Don’t ever take that for granted but what it means in today’s climate, I just wanted to tell you it’s so significant for so many of us. Seriously. We cheer you guys on.”
But it was Meghan’s response that raised concerns.
“Thank you, they don’t make it easy,” the ex-actress replied.
We hope Meghan is OK!
