However, Meghan has taken a slightly different approach when it comes to her fashion choices while on tour. And, it is all for a reason!

“I think the criticism of [Meghan and Harry’s] use of jets flying to New York for the baby shower or jetting back over to watch Serena Williams play in the tennis, there has been a lot of criticism of money being spent,” royal commentator Angela Mollard reveals on New Idea Royals podcast.

“Her whole wardrobe so far has been very carefully chosen, there has been a lot of recycling.”

Indeed, Meghan has re-worn several dresses including a Martin Grant maxi dress she previously wore in Australia and a blue Veronica Beard dress that she wore in Tonga.

But, it’s not only her recycles that have been thrifty, even her new pieces are carefully chosen.

“She wore a dress that’s only worth 130/140 dollars made by artisans in Malawi,” says Angela.

“The message she is sending through all her clothing choices is very sustainable very careful this is not showy Oscar de la Renta ballgowns. I will be interested to see where she takes it the rest of the tour.”
