The royal baby is finally here! As the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge adjust to life as a family of five, Kate’s former school friend Jessica Hay exclusively tells New Idea how she makes motherhood look easy.
Stepping out to greet the waiting press pack just hours after giving birth, Kate had mothers around the world asking how she managed to look so happy and glamorous.
‘Kate just wanted to get her new baby boy home,’ Jessica tells New Idea, revealing the couple aimed to get the formalities out of the way so they could settle in as a family.
‘Kate and William are obviously tired, but so overjoyed. This has been such an easy pregnancy compared to her others. Kate is so healthy and so capable and just excited to get her new baby boy into a routine.’
And while George is thrilled to have a baby brother, Kate and Wills are also happy to have another boy.
‘Apparently there’s a slight hint of red hair – so it’s a bit like they have a mini William, a mini Kate and now a mini Harry!’ she says.
In fact, the couple are already talking about baby number four!
‘They’re a family of five now, so I would expect them to have one more baby to make a nice round number of six before long,’ tells Jess.
‘In fact, William’s telling everyone that they would love to have one more baby in the next 18 months!’
And if anyone can handle a brood of four, it’s Kate!
