Could Harry and Meghan be moving to Australia?

We certainly hope so!

It’s not just Meghan and Kate who have been butting heads lately.

Speculation is rife that brothers Prince William and Harry have also struggled to see eye-to-eye ever since former actress Meghan came into the picture.

And as the Sussex’s and Cambridge’s prepare go their separate ways with Harry and Meghan moving to Frogmore Cottage, Princess Diana’s former butler Paul Burrell has weighed in on the rumours of a rift and explains how Australia could help mend any tension between the families.

“I think the Queen should think about giving Prince Harry Governor-General of Australia as they’d (the Duke and Duchess of Sussex) be rulers in their own country, doing their own thing,” Paul recently told Fabulous Digital.

The Governor General of the Commonwealth of Australia, currently Sir Peter Cosgrove, is the representative of the Australian monarch and is appointed by the Queen.

“On the other side of the world, they’d watch their family grow in a different way and the Cambridge’s could grow in their own way too without the drama to bother about,” the 59-year-old added.

Paul, 59, was one of Princess Diana’s closest confidantes. In fact, she once described him as “her rock.”

However, ever since her untimely death in 1997 after a car crash in Paris, the former I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here Australia contestant has been criticised for sharing intimate details about the royal family.

But that hasn’t stopped him from commenting on particular matters such as Prince William and Harry’s recent “fall-out.”

“I don’t want to see the boys fall out,” Paul continued, adding a move to Australia could end the feud one and for all.

“Your mother would want you to stand strong together. She wouldn’t want you to fall out.”

Meanwhile, there’s no doubt Australia holds a special place in hearts of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex who chose to announce they were expecting their first child on day one of their 16 day tour of Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand last year.

“We genuinely couldn’t think of a better place to announce the upcoming baby, be that a boy or a girl,” Prince Harry told the press at the time.
