Working alongside the royal family seems like it would be a dream come true.
But, according to Princess Diana’s former bodyguard, Ken Wharfe, working for the royal was in fact a very difficult job.
Check out what he has to say about Meghan here…
Yep, in the podcast New Idea Royals, Angela Mollard reveals how Ken REALLY felt about his job.
“He said it can be a really hard job,” she says.
“He said, the rewards are terrific, you travel well you get free accommodation – there’s lots of staff who live at the palace – you get to go on tours, particularly in his job.
“But he also says that the jobs are very demanding and there are lots of perks, but you have to be a person that fits right.”
Ken further revealed that working for the royal family is in fact a very demanding job and staff, particularly bodyguard, are often required to spend a lot of time away from home.
“If you want to travel with your family, [working for the royals] makes it difficult because you have to be round a lot,” says Angela.
“Of course, they get paid holidays but it’s a very unique position, you have to be on all a lot.
“Some people would love it some people would hate it and that’s the point that [Ken] makes.”
