Big Brother is back and he’s wasting no time putting his Housemates through the wringer.
With new challenges and new strategies – along with some old faces – it’s going to be tougher than ever before to be the last one standing this time around as former Big Brother contestants battle it out against a crop of newbies.

With a total of 21 new and returning housemates, each contestant will aim to survive every eviction while living together for 62 days.
They’ll be cut off from the outside world with cameras and microphones recording their every move for 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
With toe-curling panic room tasks, fabulous dinner parties, twisted punishments, and plenty of Big Brother bombshells, avoiding eviction will require wit, determination, stamina and a bulletproof strategy.
Will a returning Housemate be able to survive all the way to the end? Or will a first-time housemate pave the way for a new Big Brother winner?

Josh
Despite being the first to be booted from the House in episode 2, Josh certainly had both fans and fellow Housemates divided with his repeated advances towards ex-flame Sam.
After nominations saw a tie between him and Sam, Joel was given the power to choose who stayed, resulting in Josh bidding farewell to his time on Big Brother.
Mel
After nominations saw her and Big Brother royalty Drew up for eviction, Mel soon became the second housemate to leave the house, much to the newbies’ dismay.
“I believe what happened in that eviction is Drew shined his genuine qualities through. I know I was going against an O.G. that had Tim create a campaign for him. Tim’s a powerful man,” said Mel.
After her eviction she wrote on Instagram: “Unforgettable experience, Great friendships made, I can now tick off that I’ve stepped out of comfort zone and done reality tv.”
Layla
An emotional eviction ceremony saw Johnson, Farmer Dave, and Layla nominated, but at the 11th hour, Johnson’s prayers were answered when Layla switched her vote from the Big Brother newbie to OG Dave after realising it was time to pass the baton onto Johnson and let him enjoy his first experience in the house.
“There’s someone in here that needs to be in here. I just saw his inner child and that made me nostalgic, that used to be me. I wanted to come in Big Brother’s house since I was 11,” Layla said of her decision as she became the first of the Royalty contestants to be evicted.
Lara
It was the battle to save one of two newbies, but after Lulu was saved it was Lara that was sent packing from the Big Brother house.
“I think they made a bit of a mistake,” Lara said of her eviction.
“But today I made myself proud. I proved that women in their 50s can do all that sort of stuff. I love that I got voted out for being a fierce competitor. I think that is a victory for me. I always thought I had a bit of powerhouse in me.”
Joel
In a gruelling nominations challenge, Estelle outlasted challenge beast Joel to claim an inspiring win. With the power to nominate three housemates for eviction, Estelle made a big move by nominating every member of the J-Crew: Jaycee, Joel and Johnson – with Joel eventually being evicted.
The eviction came hot on the heels of Joel and Aleisha’s first kiss, leaving BB fans heartbroken they didn’t get to see romance blossom.
“I was definitely not surprised that I was evicted tonight, I knew that if I didn’t win this challenge that I’d be up and ultimately evicted,” Joel told Seven after being booted.
“No surprises here, but I’ve made peace with it. It is what it is and good luck to everyone else in the house.”
Trevor
In a gripping nominations challenge, Farmer Dave stayed strong to claim his first win, but not without making a deal with the devil. Dave’s pact with Tim to save Brenton saw him nominate royalty Trevor and floater Gabbie as safe votes, to put the squeeze on newbie Aleisha.
In the most emotional eviction ceremony to date, Dave’s plan completely backfired. The only housemate in Big Brother history to have never been nominated prior to tonight, Trevor, was eliminated.
“The guy I respect the most in the house is now gone because of what I’ve done,” Dave said.
Lulu
At the eviction ceremony, Tim went full throttle in his plan to get Sam evicted, only for her to make a miraculous escape – leaving Lulu to become the seventh housemate to get evicted.
“I should have stayed in the house because I have much more to give than Sam at the moment, with her relationship,” she revealed in a bombshell Instagram Story.
“I feel like she’s spending a lot of time in her relationship rather than getting to know other people, other Housemates… Well Sam, you better watch your back.”
Sam
Lulu was right! Sam was booted after some clever strategising from Tim, ending her Tv romance with Drew.
“I feel happy that Drew’s in there because honestly the thought of him leaving and me staying was getting the better of me,” Sam said after being booted.
“I’ll miss him, but I hope that he does what I was going to do: take down the ultimate player of the game, Tim.”
Farmer Dave
Beloved Big Brother royalty Dave was booted after newcomer Brenton executed a brutal plan that saw three iconic OGs up for eviction.
“It was the greatest honour to sit in those three seats with two people that I adore, love and respect,” Dave said after leaving the house.
“I love being an OG, there is something about it that makes you so proud yet so connected and such a big part of history in Australia.”
He may not have bagged the win this time, but we have no doubt Dave will remain one of the nation’s favourite BB 2022 contestants.
Jules
With Tim and Brenton given the huge power to choose who went home, Jules became their number one target and was sent packing.
She had high hopes to win the game but – as has become a trend this season – Tim’s clever scheming got the better of this intruder.
“What a memorable eviction,” Jules said after she left the house. “I am almost glad that it was me that got to get booted out that way.”
She then added: “The housemates definitely have to keep an eye on Tim.”
Tully
After Tully went back on her word during a secret ballot vote, Taras was out for blood, shifting his focus on winning the nominations challenge in order to take Tully out while still pretending to have her back.
Later, in a physically-demanding nominations challenge, a determined Taras secured his safety and a spot in Top 10, and sent shock waves through the house when he nominated Tully, Drew and his closest ally Johnson – before a tense eviction ceremony saw Tully say goodbye to the Big Brother house for the second time.
Drew
While OGs wanted Taras gone, but it was Aleisha who plotted a shocking blind side and rallied her troops to set a deadly trap for Drew.
When the vote was tied between Drew and Taras during the tense eviction ceremony, Head of House Jaycee broke the deadlock to seal Drew’s fate and sent him packing.
Jaycee
Jaycee was evicted after some clever strategising by Tim and Gabbie, who wanted to avenge the recently evicted Drew.
Nominated alongside Johnson and Aleisha, Jaycee lost in a landslide and was sent packing.
“It’s easy to say ‘it’s a game’ but until you do 50 days in BB the house you will never understand,” he wrote on Instagram after his exit.
Gabbie
Tim brought Brenton up to speed with his plan to evict Estelle, which came crumbling down after Estelle held on to win safety from eviction in the second chance challenge, leaving Brenton and Gabbie on the chopping block.
Staring down eviction, Brenton thought Tim had his back, but Tim planned a shocking blindside by attempting to save long-time ally Gabbie – but at the eviction ceremony, it came crumbling down as Tim didn’t have the numbers to keep Gabbie in the game and she was sent home.
Estelle
In yet another blow to the OGs, Estelle was evicted after Taras challenged her claims that she’s a “new Estelle”, leading to all five of the housemates voting for her to leave.
Despite the shock vote, Estelle said the hardest part of her eviction was knowing Reggie could have been sent home instead.
“I even had to talk to Big Brother about it and said ‘I actually don’t want to fight for my position because I’m going to take it from Reggie’,” she told 7Entertainment.
“I wasn’t surprised [I left] based on reading the room. And I would rather go down to Reggie.”
Tim
After an unstoppable Taras blew Tim’s plan to pieces and his power to nominate three housemates for eviction, Taras plotted to take down the game’s puppet master, nominating Tim along with safe votes Brenton and Johnson.
“Everywhere [Tim] goes, he creates a universe around him and everyone wants to be in it. But strategically, we just never really worked together and he’s coming for me. If he goes, my run to top three may be undeniable”, Taras said.
Tim’s mastermind strategy had run dry as his heartfelt plea during the eviction ceremony failed to turn the tides and the game was soon over for the Big Brother legend.
Aleisha
With the allies turning against him, Taras gave his all, securing a record-breaking ninth win in the first nominations challenge and putting Johnson in the firing line for eviction.
Taras then took total control of the game by nominating Johnson’s co-conspirator Aleisha after winning the second nominations challenge – but the challenge beast was blindsided by Reggie at the eviction ceremony when she voted Aleisha out despite promising him to help take out Johnson.
“I think Taras maybe thought that he would get points for bringing Reggie to the end and that the Australian public would love that and maybe vote for him. But I don’t think that’s how it will go down,” Aleisha told Yahoo! Lifestyle.
“I think the Australian public would vote for Reggie because as we say, she is so loveable, so likeable. And that would be the downfall to him probably winning.”
Brenton
In a tense eviction that unveiled our final three Housemates, Taras was given the power to choose who would follow him into the Grand Final – and whose journey would come to an end.
“Choosing two means I leave one out. And leaving one out means that I’m breaking someone’s dream. I’m saying to someone that your battle is at an end right at the final hurdle. That’s a big decision,” Taras said.
In the end, Taras saved Johnson and Reggie, evicting Brenton.
“It sucks. I got so freaking close to the end,” Brenton revealed following his eviction.
“I just can’t believe that if I’d won that challenge today, which I was millisecond off, I would be standing in the top three. I cannot believe it came down to that.”
