The Block 2026 Week 3 Main Bedroom and Walk-In Robe reveals: Tour every room

It was a week of positives for Lisa and Rosco, who not only won their first room reveal, but also announced they’re expecting another child!

After not finishing last week and ranking near the bottom of the leaderboard in week one, the couple were determined to redeem themselves, and that’s exactly what they did.

Their walk-in wardrobe was a favourite for Marty, Shaynna and Darren, who all praised its spaciousness, the addition of a makeup space, and the colours and textures they used.

Because Courtney and Sev designed the layout for their wardrobe before they chose House 4, the judges said they had a great base to work with.

Their choices meant that the natural light elevated the room.

“The best part is all the positive benefits of being in a space that is so light-filled,” The Block‘s 2023 winner Steph Ottavio tells New Idea.

“It really increases your mood, and in a walk-in wardrobe, that’s how you want to feel.”

The complimenting continued when they got to the main bedroom, which they agreed was mostly faultless.

However, they criticised their choice not to include a blackout blind for added privacy.

Despite this, they won by two points, and also pocketed $10,000.

Feedback:

Adam and Jolene came second once again, proving they’re forces to be reckoned with in the competition.

All three judges fell in love with their rendered wall, and praised the features, such as rotating shoe racks, to make the most storage.

They positioned their Velux FCM 2246 flat roof fixed skylights in the walk-in wardrobe, which was praised by former winner Steph.

“Good design is all about problem solving,” Steph tells us.

“Regardless of the construction issue, they were still able to position the skylights in a nice, centralised location to the room, as opposed to simply centring them to the wardrobes.”

However, the judges raised their concerns when they entered their main bedroom, which Shaynna said was “overstyled”.

They all agreed that items such as drawers and a laundry hamper could have been seamlessly built into the room to minimise clutter. Their couches and rug were also pushed close to the bed, but they said it could be easily fixed.

Despite this, the three of them agreed it was cohesive with the rest of their home.

Feedback:

It was another challenging week for Chantel and Wyatt, but they managed to come in joint second place.

Chantel was determined to nail the quiet luxury brief, but this week, her design choices were a hit and a miss.

While Shaynna, Marty and Darren appreciated the vastness of their wardrobe, they all agreed that it lacked personality.

Marty even went as far as to call it boring. For Shaynna, there was too much white, and a lack of texture made it look “clinical”.

However, 2023 winner Steph tells New Idea that she loved the symmetry between their skylights and island.

“I think it’s quite similar to House 1, but I feel like the skylights work even better in this space,” she admits.

“There’s this beautiful synergy and mirroring of shape, width and length from the island to the skylights, and it really brings this space together.”

Despite the hiccups they faced, this week marked a first for the father and daughter – they delivered their first completed room!

Even though their Venetian plaster was praised in both spaces, they agreed it was a waste to have it in the wardrobe with the skylight.

Even so, their plaster added the touch of luxury their home needed.

With an identical floor plan to House Four, Rick and Tayla’s wardrobe was also narrow, with Marty, Darren and Shaynna advising that they should remove the doors on one side to open it up.

Moving to their bedroom, Rick and Tayla’s choice of artworks were praised by the judges.

Despite being told earlier in the week that they should change their herringbone timber, Rick and Tayla’s decision to keep it was a win.

Their curved wall was also a standout feature in their room. However, Shaynna thought they needed to make styling changes to make it work.

They might not have won, but it was a step up for them both!

After two strong weeks of back-to-back wins, Courtney and Sev hoped to make it a hat trick and make history on The Block.

Sadly, it wasn’t meant to be, and they ended up going in the opposite direction – presenting an unfinished bedroom.

Because Lisa and Rosco designed their wardrobe during the first week of the competition, it meant they had to work with their design choices.

They weren’t happy with the design, but did not have the time or resources to rectify it, so they had to work with what was there.

However, that wasn’t their only issue. Their rushing meant the women didn’t have a chance to clean the wardrobe space, which was filthy.

“It doesn’t feel good being in here,” Marty vented.

During the week, Courtney and Sev decided to change the skylight layout, by extending it so it ran along the ceiling, rather than separate skylights.

However, this meant there was too much light in the room, and the judges advised that they add a sliding door to stop the light from going into the main bedroom.

Despite some slight improvements with their bedroom, all three judges were disappointed that it wasn’t as refined as their other reveals.

“I feel like a body needs to be laid to rest on that bed,” Shaynna said, describing it as a “high-end coffin”.

In a bid not to go over budget, both women did their own tiling, which Marty described as being done by someone who’s had too much alcohol.

Their ceiling finishes, which they also did themselves, were also branded poorly finished.

Overall, the judges argued that the room would have to be redone.

Even though they didn’t finish, they did pocket the $10,000 budgeting prize.
