The new season of Married at First Sight has gotten off to a dramatic start, with former series star Nasser Sultan reportedly attempting to crash filming of one of the new weddings, and allegedly calling bride Vanessa Romito a ‘bogan’.

Nasser, who has relentlessly pursued the spotlight since his ill-fated turn on the show, was pictured and filmed lingering outside the Vaucluse House wedding, where he reportedly attempted to gain entry before being ejected by security.

He was then reportedly heard shouting ‘don’t do it!’ and ‘bogan!’ at the bride, as he bizarrely watched the ceremony through binoculars from roadside scrub.

It is believed that Sultan was recognised by one of the show employees and removed from the site.

‘At one point he was shouting “bogan” at the bride,’ an onlooker told the Daily Mail.

Nasser told the outlet he had a ‘very funny day out’, claiming he was only there after he ‘stumbled upon the wedding while out for a walk’.

Bride Vanessa, described as an aspiring social media influencer, is an ex-girlfriend of season six participant Bronson Norrish.

Following Nasser’s disastrous wedding to bride Gabrielle on Married at First Sight, he was forced to address rumours of his sexuality, amid claims he was only on the show to get famous.

Speaking to Kyle & Jackie O, he said: ‘I am 110 per cent not gay.’

He added: ‘I live in the gay community, trust me…If I was gay, I’d be a rock star! If I was gay, I’d live the lifestyle of it. I’m 100 million per cent straight.’

The faded reality star, who was later rumoured to be dating 20-year-old man Eyob Geist after a series of paparazzi shots emerged, seemed less strident in his self-description, as the spotlight and attention began to fade.

‘Who cares if I’m gay or not? What difference does it make. I went onto MAFS to find love with someone and I’m still looking now,’ he told a magazine.

‘I shouldn’t have to come out and label myself or anything like that – no-one should. What’s that saying…sexuality is fluid.’
