Sydney publicist Roxy Jacenko’s husband Oliver Curtis has been jailed for insider trading.
Curtis has been sentenced a minimum of one year with a maximum of two years for conspiracy to commit insider trading with his former high school friend John Hartman.
Curtis, 30, was found guilty earlier this month of conspiracy to commit insider trading. After a 12-day trial, he had had been released on bail pending his sentencing.
The Sydney Morning Herald reports Justice Lucy McCallum said Curtis hadn’t shown any ‘contrition to any degree whatsoever,’ in court until after his verdict.
‘It is troubling that, unlike Mr Hartman, Mr Curtis has not embraced responsibility for his offending,’ Justice McCallum said. Instead, he was involved in the ‘self-interested pursuit of wealth.’
