She’s worth a whopping US $40 million but when it comes to skincare, reality TV star Khloe Kardashian isn’t precious. In fact, this week the new mum revealed her secret weapon for fighting acne comes straight from the supermarket shelf and it costs less than $10.
Khloe, 34, has been open with her struggle with breakouts and has often talked about the wildly expensive lotions and potions she has used in her battle to keep her skin crystal clear. She’s a fan of the seriously luxe brands La Mer and also Guerlain, but it turns out Khloe is all about the bargain products too.
She took to her personal app recently and shared that while she loves to wear a full face of makeup she is well aware that it affects her skin and therefore MUST come off. Doing so can be tricky, she says.
“I love to get glam, but it can be such a b*tch to take off all that makeup, LOL,” shared Khloe. And damn girl – we so agree. Khloe then shared exactly what she uses to ensure her complexion is 100 per cent cleansed and that there’s not even a dot of makeup left behind. And that’s where things got interesting.
Khloe reveals that while she first washes her face (and with a cleanser that costs less than $10), she then follows up with a firm wipe with not one, but two Neutrogena Makeup Remover Towelettes to ensure her skin really is 100 per cent cleansed. Those towelettes, or wipes as we’re more likely to call them here in Australia sell for just $8 for a pack of 25. A bargain if ever there was one.
Khloe uses one for her face and then another to focus on her eyes since ‘since eyeliner and mascara can be so tricky’.
If it works for Khloe then it will likely work for us too and we intend to give it a try ASAP. Perfect for party season when the makeup gets heavy and so does the socialising.
