How to get the ultimate winged eyeliner

It may be a little tricky to master but the cat eye is flirty and flattering

Hands down, Adele wears cat eyeliner like no other. So who better to show us how to get the look than make-up artist Michael Ashton, who has created the singer’s signature look for the past nine years?

1. Begin with eyeshadow over the lid – a flattering golden hue is a fave of the singer – then apply black gel eyeliner in a thin coat using a fine-pointed liner brush.

2. Starting from the inner corner, work the gel right into the roots and gradually build the thickness on the outer three-quarters only.

3. Paint over the gel with a waterproof liquid liner, and create a wing by flicking it out towards the temple. Use a cotton bud to sweep the end of the wing upwards at a clean 45-degree angle.
