Jack Vidgen, Mitch Paulsen and Chynna Taylor were all eliminated, which means Guy doesn’t have anyone from his team in next week’s finals.
After the shock eliminations, some fans are claiming that Guy’s perceived favouritism to his contestant Chynna, when he let her choose her own song, was a big mistake and could have caused viewers to turn on his entire team.
Guy let Chynna pick her song, but he chose Mitch and Jack’s songs on their behalf.
Fans took to Twitter to vent their anger at Guy, accusing him of being unfair to Jack and Mitch.
“How is Guy letting Chynna chose her own song fair? Pretty clear Guy is pushing for her to win,” one person tweeted.
“So Mitch and Jack were told what songs to sing by Guy yet Chynna got free [rein] to sing what song she wanted too? Sounds like favouritism to me,” wrote another.
“Now I just wish Guy was a better coach to Jack, because I know we didn’t get to see even a fraction of his potential since the Blinds. Don’t bring Guy back.”
With so many viewers upset at Guy, it’s thought they could have turned on his team and not voted in protest.
Sheldon Riley, from Team Delta, and Lee Harding, from Team George, were also cut on Tuesday.
The final will be a battle between Zeek Power, Diana Rouvas, Jordan Anthony and Daniel Shaw.
