She played a sword-wielding barbarian-turned crusader for justice in Xena: Warrior Princess between 1995-2001, but a lot of that show’s fans may now have trouble recognising New Zealand actress Lucy Lawless.
The star, 48, has stepped out sporting a much shorter hairstyle – with her barbarian gear relegated to the dumpster. She’s now starring in new horror series Ash Vs Evil Dead – yet another genre show after a string of post Xena appearances on such programs as Battlestar Galactica and Agents of Shield.
Speaking of the gory antics in her latest project, Lucy laughs, ‘You’ve never lived until you’ve been hit in the face by a snot cannon.” Charming!
