It’s official: Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx have split. The couple, who dated – mostly secretly – for six years, are no more after the actor stepped out with his new protégé, singer Sela Vave.

The New York Post’s Page Six has confirmed the news, quoting multiple sources close to Katie. The duo have not been spotted together since they attended the Met Gala together in May.
The paper quotes a source as telling a friend at La Esquina: ‘What Jamie does is his business — we haven’t been together for months.’
Another source close to Holmes confirmed to Page Six that the couple split in May.
Following the compromising snaps of Jamie with his new companion, a source close to the 51-year-old actor and musician claimed to PEOPLE that Foxx was merely ‘helping out’ his young protege that night, while 40-year-old Katie was at home in New York.
‘She’s just a girl he’s helping out, a young singer,’ the source told the publication.
In the photos, Jamie’s hand can be seen resting on the young girls hips, with another photo showing the pair holding hands.
Although the photos have been labelled ‘innocent’ by some, the pair seem to have a close bond, with the young and attractive Sela recently dedicating an entire Instagram post to her mentor.
