Sophie Monk and Stu Laundy officially announced their split after six months of dating, and now the former Bachelorette star has broken down in a tell-all interview with Channel Nine’s A Current Affair.
On Monday’s episode of ACA, host Tracey Grimshaw promised that Sophie would reveal ‘what really happened behind the scenes’ of the relationship, before cutting to an extract of the interview.
In the small snippet the 38-year-old star is shown close to tears as she reveals there were clashes in her relationship with the millionaire publican.
Appearing overwhelmed by the questions, Sophie tells the host: ‘I’m very emotional. Oh s**t, I can’t cry.’
Sophie confirmed her relationship with Laundy was over on January 26, via Instagram.
Posting a heartbreaking message to her fans, Monk claimed: ‘We are just very different people.’
Three days later, Laundy unexpectedly revealed that he only learned he’d been dumped via Monk’s Instagram post.
While appearing on Fitzy and Wippa Stu revealed, ‘I sort of found out through Instagram. But, having said that we had discussed pushing more towards a friendship.’
