Huge congratulations are in order for tennis star Serena Williams who has given birth to a baby girl with her Reddit founder fiancé Alexis Ohanian, according to US reports.
“Tennis star Serena Williams gives birth to a baby girl weighing 6 pounds, 13 ounces. Mom and baby doing well,” WPBF-25 news producer Chris Shepherd wrote on Twitter.
The Telegraph reports that the baby was delivered on Friday at St. Mary’s Medical Centre in West Palm Beach, near the 35-year-old’s home.
Although there has been no official word yet from Serena herself, her sister, Venus referenced the exciting arrival as she took to the court ahead of her US Open third round match against Maria Sakkari.
“Obviously I’m super excited,” said the baby’s aunt Venus Williams. “Words can’t describe.”

It was revealed that the star was three weeks pregnant when she beat her sister Venus to win the Australian Open back in January, and the 23-time grand slam champion said she hopes to return for the Australian Open next year.
“I am looking forward to becoming a mother and coming back to the courts already,” she told The Telegraph earlier this year. “I’m always thinking about what’s next: the next victory, the next trophy.”
