After rising to fame on a reality TV show we see plenty of stars use their platform to promote beauty products and show off their new smiles.
Others use their newfound following to talk about important matters like Married At First Sight’s Booka Nile.

The MAFS star and musician took to Instagram over the weekend with an important reminder to all women.
“Ladies! It’s the first of the month which means its time to check your breasts!” she began.
“@support.your.girls has survived breast cancer multiple times now and she messages me on the first day of every month to remind me to check and to remind me to remind ya’ll to do the same!
“So take a few mins to check yourself and make sure everything is feeling as it should! It could save your life!”

According to breastcancer.org the best practice for checking your breasts should be first done lying down and again while standing up.
“Use a firm, smooth touch with the first few finger pads of your hand, keeping the fingers flat and together. Use a circular motion, about the size of a quarter.”
You can also keep an eye out for visual changes such as dimpling, puckering, or bulging of the skin, changes in the nipple as well as redness, soreness, rash, or swelling.

Last week Booka stunned fans by trading in her trademark hair for a new colour, amping up her metal musician look even further by rocking cropped pink hair.
The new colour isn’t the only thing she’s sporting, with the former MAFS bride taking to Instagram to share that she now has bangs too.
“Getting bangs. Blaming all of you who voted yes to this happening when I regret this decision,” she shared to her Instagram Stories while at the salon.

For many, Booka is near unrecognisable since her MAFS days, where she was partnered with Brett Helling on the show.
The two split before the final vows, and while things didn’t work out for the couple, Booka left the show with strong friendships with her co-stars Beck Zemek and Alana Lister.
