WATCH: Prince Harry reveals he was ‘hurt’ over how the paparazzi treated Diana
Taking to social media, the Australian television personality posted a series of snapshots of the princess in a heartwarming Instagram post, along with the caption: “Hard to believe Diana would have turned 58 today…
“These pics a reminder of the assured woman she was starting to become.”
The 59-year-old former Today Show host continued: “Love this first pic in particular – a behind the scenes moment when she was sitting for American portrait painter Nelson Shanks in 1996. ”
Diana, Princess of Wales, passed away on the 31st of August in France after a horror car accident.
Although she was a widely beloved figure within the British royal family, none of her living family members have publicly wished Diana Spencer a happy birthday.
Her usually social media active sons, Prince William or Prince Harry have taken to social media to wish their mother a happy birthday, however, both the @sussexroyal and @kensigtonpalace social media accounts – that are run alongside their wives Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton – have dedicated posts to Canada Day.
Happy birthday Diana, forever in our thoughts.
