Olympic swimmer Libby Trickett has announced the wonderful news that she is expecting her second child with her fellow Olympic swimming husband, Luke next year.
Taking to Instagram, the four-time gold medalist shared a picture of the baby’s sonogram along with a hashtag-filled caption.
“Luke and I are super excited to announce that we will be welcoming baby Trickett #2 into the world in early March!! #cantwait #babytrickettnumber2 #herewegoagain #preparingforthesleepdeprivation #popsispredictingababybrudda #boyorgirlwhoknows #thattummyisntjustmyexcessivehotchipintake” she wrote.
The news came on the same day the 32-year-old shared a picture of her daughter Poppy in celebration of her second birthday.
“Happy 2nd birthday P. Fran! What a gorgeous little shining light you are in our lives,” the proud mum wrote.
“My little book loving, elbow obsessed, Moana infatuated, kind, affectionate and stubborn daughter. I get more excited every single day about the little girl I am getting know.
“Thanks for making me grow and teaching me patience! I feel incredibly blessed to be your mum and if you could just stop having blow ups about almost anything – well that’d just be swell!”
Libby says Poppy thinks she’s having a baby brother but admitted the couple don’t know the sex of the their new addition.
The former Dancing With The Stars contestant and her husband Luke wed in a ceremony at Sydney’s Taronga Zoo in 2007.
