Breaking: Major 90s pop star dies

Terribly sad

Keith Flint, the lead singer of influential British dance-electronic band The Prodigy, has been found dead in his London home at age 49, Nine news reports. 

Co-founder of the iconic 90’s band, Liam Howlett, took to Instagram to mourn the death of his friend and share that Flint had taken his own life over the weekend.

Howlett wrote: “The news is true, I can’t believe I’m saying this but our brother Keith took his own life over the weekend, I’m shell shocked, [sic] f***kin angry, confused and heartbroken ….. r.i.p brother Liam.”

London police have confirmed the body of a 49-year-old man had been found at a home in Brook Hill, northeast of London, just after 8am local time (7pm AEST).

The police said they are treating the death as non-suspicious.

Flint was the stage persona for the 90’s band The Prodigy and has been credited for helping take rave music mainstream.
