Taking to his Instagram stories on Wednesday night, the ex host of the Today show, told followers of a special win he was celebrating.
Although his Queensland team failed to win the State of Origin series, Karl managed to see the bright side after revealing he had won $820 after betting Queenslander Felise Kaufusi would be the first tryscorer.
Karl, 44, shared the photo of his winning bet to his story, and added ‘P.I.M.P.’ by 50 Cent as a tongue-in-cheek musical reference.
Unfortunately for Karl, despite his winning bet, his team didn’t win the final Origin game, with New South Wales beating the Queensland side in a nail-biting 26-20 win, making it a 2-1 series victory to the Blues.
Karl is a huge sports fan, and has shared his love of NRL with his wife, Jasmine.
Although Jasmine may not be as into the game as her husband, with the 35-year-old captioning a snap of Karl watching last year’s Origin: “Can anyone explain what I’ve got myself into with this one.”
Karl and Jasmine were married in December 2018 in a lavish, star-studded ceremony in Mexico.
The TV favourite was previously married to Casandra Thorburn for 21 years. The couple share three children.
